  • Arjan Singh

    Tax Adviser

As a Tax Adviser, Arjan advises clients on a broad range of tax enquiries.

“Tax is an ever-changing discipline which provides me with the ammunition to intellectually challenge myself on a day to day basis”

Arjan joined ETC in July 2020 as a Tax Adviser and he advises on an array of tax enquires. At present, he is partway through his professional tax qualifications and endeavours to progress his tax advisory career here at ETC.

    Life before ETC

Arjan started his career beginning with a year at KPMG where he worked in VAT, Financial Services Audit and Restructuring. He then went on to University and obtained a (BA Hons) Accounting & Finance degree which then led to him to start a career in taxation. Prior to ETC his most recent two-year experience at ASE supported motor dealerships across the nation in their corporate and personal tax compliance obligations.

    Why a career in tax?

I particularly took a liking to my tax modules during my final year of University which led me to focus on finding a tax role. Tax is an ever-changing discipline which provides me with the ammunition to intellectually challenge myself on a day to day basis.

    My best (and worst) bits

I pride myself on using an organised and detailed approach both in and out of the workplace which allows me to work in an efficient and accurate manner. On the other hand, this approach coincides with being process led and therefore one area I will focus on improving is my creative element in my professional development.

    Three words to describe ETC

    Supportive, inspiring, progressive.

    Alternative career choice

I would like to run my own Tea Room/Restaurant.
