Fundraising

In April 2019 our staff chose the Charity Home-Start, we will be supporting them throughout the year. Below is a brief insight in to our chosen charity. If you would like to make a donation, please contact comms@etctax.co.uk

HOME-START

Home-Start is one of the leading family support charities in the UK.

Home-Start volunteers help families with young children deal with the challenges they face. They support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.

Home-Start works with children and young families in Warrington to assist them in being happy, safe and healthy.

They work to help vulnerable families break the cycle they have found themselves in and educate children to avoid the paths that can lead to unemployment, crime, drug/alcohol abuse and homelessness.

The families needing support can be isolated, suffering from mental health issues or post-natal depression, single parents, victims of domestic violence and alcohol/drug users, struggling to cope with a disabled partner or child or even struggling with the bereavement of a family member.

It costs £1200 per year to support one family and they are currently supporting approx. 50 families. Any funding goes towards training volunteers and the Home-Start support staff.
