  • Tax Matters That Matter | June Newsletter | Tax Partner Pro Edition

    30 June 2021

    Welcome to the second edition of our Tax Partner Pro, Tax Matters That Matter newsletter.

    June newsletter 2021

    It’s coming home, isn’t it?

    The 30 years may have very quickly become 55 years ‘of hurt’ for those of a certain age. That halcyon summer, listening to Ocean Colour Scene whilst drinking Smirnoff Moscow Mule, however, seems a matter of minutes ago.

    So does Southgate’s penalty miss.

    Last night, he and his England team took steps to atone for the collective misery of England fans by beating the Germans at Wembley. Surely, they say, it must be ‘coming home?’

    We will see. It seemed slightly ominous that both of England’s potential opponents in the next round play in yellow shirts. The colour of banana skins.

    In our latest TPP Newsletter, pulled together by Chris Watts (our very own Gareth Southgate – manager, rather than penalty taker, that is) we have the following articles:

    • Rohan Manro has a free role to consider the issues that a landlord might face when considering incorporating their portfolio;
    • Thomas Slipanczewski plays sweeper-keeper and discusses Information Notices and what might rightly be included in such a request from HMRC;
    • Alexander Wilson, playing as a false nine, muses on all things crypto;
    • Chris Watts, clearly utility man and player manager, looks at the implications of providing an employee with an electric motor
    • The profile of Senior Manager Robert Wilson is our ‘shiny’ in the Panini sticker album.

    We also have our usual round up of things that are going on at ETC Tax.
    Many thanks to Chris Watts, Sarah Aston and all the contributors who made this happen.
    Hopefully, when I write my next foreword to our July newsletter, we will be finally putting the nails in the coffin of the Three Lions song.

    As always, if you have any queries, comments or observations then please let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
